How can I burn fat and build muscle?

I am 13 and I was questioning what exercises I could do that could assist me burn fat and build muscle. I would also like to know how I can make myself more quickly so I can do much better when I am operating the mile. I won’t take any diet pills since I’m not losing weight to make myself look better and I know that you are going to obtain the weight right back when you quit taking the pills. So what exercises can I do?

    You can find a relevant book or magazine and use free weights. To improve speed, run as fast as you can for 200 yards, then walk, then keep alternating. That changes up your routine. It has a funny name, but you can search fartleks. I am using the phone or I would add a link
