Here’s the 3 pronged approach that will work for you if you stick with it. T He good news is that if you stick with this even a month you will start to feel so much better in overall health that you won’t feel like stopping, and it won’t feel like hard work. In all likelihood you will have more energy, sleep better, your skin will improve and your mood will become more stable (no more sugar highs and lows). Oh, and you will lose your tummy fat.
Make a commitment to move every day. Any activity that increases your heart rate and burns fat will do. Walking, dancing, swimming, cycling. You need to burn overall fat to lose tummy fat, and you can only do that by pumping your blood and revving up your metabolism. If you are going from a place of no exercise, walking is a good place to start. If you are already pretty fit (plenty of fit people have tummy fat) then try varying your exercise as your body might be stuck in an exercise rut. 3. Eat healthy, unprocessed foods. There is no getting around this. Processed foods are literally poisoning our bodies. I know that is a strong statement but it is true. While highly processed foods may be convenient, they are packed full of chemicals and preservatives that our bodies have not evolved quickly enough to process. Think about it. For millions of years our bodies have eaten only what we can grow or kill. Anything that comes in a box or has more than 5 ingredients does not fall into that category. Yes, that does include the so called “low fat” products that are marketed as healthy but are actually causing you to have food cravings and keeping you unhealthy. A good rule of thumb is, could my great grandmother have served this for dinner? If it’s mac and cheese out of a box, a granola bar, even packaged pasta the answer is no. If you are really serious about losing tummy fat and being healthy then you will need to make a commitment to buy, cook and eat unprocessed foods. While it will be a new habit to adopt, it really is just that. A healthy habit that your body will surely thank you for.
So there are the 3 steps on how to burn belly fat. Sorry that there is no magic pill. The so called “diet industry” is a billion dollar machine and yet more and more people are getting obese.
